How do you share what God is doing in your Ministry?
Janet Wolfe May 2014
Sharing stories is vitally important to Singles Ministry group and church community. If you are not doing this already I strongly suggest you start. Events and activities need to constantly be communicated to help keep your ministry alive and focused. Some leaders share stories via a monthly Newsletter , Face Book, Blog websites etc. that report in areas such as attendance to events, how the event is equipping singles, encouragement through the word, engagements ,marriages and prayer requests. It’s encouraging to hear how God is at work in our ministries. So Start & please keep it going!
You can send your ministry news to us to publish here.

What is Your Role in Organizing Events as a Leader of a Singles Ministry ?
Janet Wolfe June 2014
You are a shepherd (1 Kings 22:17) who needs to calendar ahead. Experience shows that many groups suffer because of the lack of planning. They operate in the ‘Last minute .com’ zone. They don’t plan by the month but week by week. Plan your Bible study times, your social life which could includes attending singles event to network, work or college assignments, other family commitments, then plan your singles events 2 /3 months ahead now! People can usually rearrange their schedules to give priority to your events if they have had enough notice. To shepherd you need to pray for each member of your group, by name, often. Shepherds not only pray for their members, but they help each other and support other Leaders as they guide Christian Singles on the Christ Centered Journey we are on.

CSL Annual Networking Meeting
Janet Wolfe Nov 2014
I’m looking forward to the 4th CSLNetwork meeting being held at the end of November 2014. Our first meeting was in June 2011 and about 8 people attended our meeting and meal in a lovely restaurant in South Woodford, Essex. Four years later our numbers have grown to almost 40 people and we give God all the glory for what he is doing in and through us. We are a diverse, multi-denominational group of Pastors/leaders, representing a variety of churches mainly across London and the Midlands.
We meet annually to get to know each other, improve communication between ministries, share ideas, motivate each other, to be a support and practical help for each other & the singles in our churches, to get everyone "onto the same page" working together in terms of goal setting for the future. Over the past years our invited speakers have been: Kris Swiatocho, Singles Network-USA Carole Litchmore, (Promise Christian Network -PCN) David King (NTCG coordinator sam)and this time we are expecting a visit from Rev, Dr George Hargreaves of Kingdom Cinemas and Jackie Elton who runs Christian Connections.
This network is available for those interested in Singles in the church & Singles Ministry Leadership.
It is free to join. If you have a desire to serve singles in your church, you are welcomed to come along. Look to see who God has brought into your church with a desire to serve in singles ministry with you. They can also come along too. If God is bringing singles to your church, He will have put people there to serve in singles’ ministry.
When I first started in 2011, I asked questions “What will be the purpose of the ministry?” “Who in the church needs it? (Youth, over 30’s, divorced people, single parents? etc.) “How will it change their lives?” Try to determine who your core group will be. If you have a majority in one segment, begin there. I identified the singles in my church who I could see had specific needs that weren’t being met. These were the mature singles, over 35’s never married, single again. There wasn’t as much information about UK based Singles Ministries as there is now. Singles Ministry is still relatively new and there are still many churches that don’t yet have one.
Singles Leadership involves more than just organising social events and because of this misunderstanding many leaders tend to drop out after a short while if not supported.
The CSLNetwork can be of assistance to those who are presently leading or thinking about starting a ministry group.
If you are interested in serving with us, please contact us and let us know.
